This mosaic-like floor topping for concrete substrates goes on at a thickness of only ¼ to 3/8 inch. It is excellent for multi-coloured patterns and designs because of the epoxy resin matrix. It can be pigmented, like paint, to achieve an unlimited spectrum of colours.
It can also be coloured with aggregates, including chips of marble or granite, recycled glass, mother of pearl, and various synthetic materials. Virtually indestructible, epoxy terrazzo is ideal for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities, especially where durability, longevity, and minimal maintenance are crucial. A two-component 100%-solids epoxy blended with metallic pigments, Metal Fusing Epoxy is self-levelling, permitting easy application and seamless floor surfaces. “The application method is what really makes Metal Fusing Epoxy take life. “Denatured alcohol and other solvents can be used to disperse and drag the metal pigments throughout the epoxy.
You can also use air to create a more dynamic metallic effect. Ten to fifteen minutes after spreading Metal Fusion with a notched squeegee, a leaf blower can be used to ripple, crater, and impel the metallic pigment. You can also get extra creative by drizzling, splotching, or blending one or more colours over the top of the Metal Fusion base colour for more unique elegance.
